About Prof. Lampropoulos
I was born in Patras Greece and at the age of 18 I moved to the US for college. Through my early years at the University of Illinois I developed a passion about chemistry. After finishing my bachelors at UIC I moved to the University of Florida where I completed my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. After returning to my homeland for a post-doc, I returned to the US as an assistant professor at the University of North Florida, where I have been ever since, currently as an associate professor. My research interests are in the synthesis and properties characterization of materials, as well as in high pressure science.
